Autism-friendly design can be decisive
The built environment can be unbearable and highly confusing to those on the spectrum. Fortunately, over the last few years experience and knowledge is being developed worldwide to design homes, schools and facilities in which people on the spectrum can flourish.
This website set out to accumulate the present knowledge and experience in the form of what will amount to several hundreds of recommendations. Each one is specific to certain autistic limitations and peculiarities, phases of the design, building, and refurbishing process, and its context: parental home, school, independent living, and treatment or long-stay facilities.
Each week recommendations are added.
Go to your context of interest and check the themes and recommendations there.
